2012 Lower Mainland Road Race Series
The fourth edition of the Lower Mainland Road Race Series wrapped up on Sunday with the Richmond Oval 10K. The Series began back in January with the Icebreaker 8K, and featured 11 races around the Lower Mainland, from 5K to half marathon distance. All told, the 11 races collectively had more than 4,300 finishers (a growth of 7.5% over last year). …more

Under partly overcast skies David Palermo of Vancouver, BC and Catrin Jones of Victoria BC claimed victories at the 30th Running Room Shaughnessy 8K that was held in Vancouver on Sunday May 27th. Both David and Catrin also claimed the 2012 BC 8K Championship titles. …more on this site

Race organizers, volunteers and runners in the BMO Sunshine Coast April Fool’s Run felt like the victims of an April Fool’s Day prank on Sunday morning when they awoke to an unseasonably late snowfall. 2012 Steveston Icebreaker 8K: Osaduik Wins Again
Steve Osaduik scored his second win in the 2012 Timex BC Road Race Series, crossing the line first at the Kajaks Icebreaker 8K in Steveston. His winning time of 24:53 was seven seconds slower than he clocked at the Harriers Pioneer 8K three weeks ago. …more
