Geoff Martinson cruised to a comfortable victory in 30:00 at this morning’s Under Armour Eastside 10k in Vancouver. Falkirk, Scotland’s Sarah Inglis claimed a surprise win in 33:45 in a thrilling women’s race. Lethbridge’s Kip Kangogo (65:35) and Toronto’s Lyndsay Tessier (77:00) raced to emphatic victories in the 19th edition of the Scotiabank Vancouver Half marathon, presented by Asics, ahead of 4,229 participants this morning. On a brilliant Sunday morning, nearly 200 runners gathered in front of Kerrisdale Arena for one of the more challenging runs on the B.C. road race circuit. Record Number of Participants as Kimugul and Murage win 40th BMO April Fool’s Run
The 2017 BMO Sunshine Coast April Fool’s Run presented by Coast Cable was the largest in the event’s long-running history. Icebreaker attracts a fast, cool crowd in sunny Steveston
Christian Gravel of Vancouver won the race in an impressive 26:09, edging Coquitlam’s Brendan Wong to the finish line by five seconds. Jeremiah Ziak of Vancouver (26:23) and North Van’s Jeff Symonds (26:55) were third and fourth, respectively. The top woman was Sabrina Wilkie of Vancouver in 28:46.
